Drag and drop a file onto the Toolbox to open the file.

Drag an image into an open GIMP image to add the dropped file as a new layer, or set of layers, to the already open image.

アプリケーションの多くが画像をクリックしたまま GIMP のツールボックスの上までドラッグしてくると開けるようになっています。 たとえば Firefox のブラウザー画面にある画像ファイル項目をクリックして GIMP のツールボックスまでドラッグして放つとその画像が開けます。
