As soon as you create a layer mask, it acts on the image. The command allows you to suspend this action. When you click on the menu entry, a check is displayed next to it and the border of the layer mask's thumbnail in the Layers Dialog turns red.
You can access this command from the main menu through → → ,
oppure tenendo premuto il tasto Ctrl (Ctrl+Alt con alcuni sistemi) e facendo un singolo clic sulla miniatura della maschera di livello presente nella finestra di dialogo dei livelli.
È possibile annullare quest'azione togliendo la spunta alla voce di menu in → o facendo clic con il mouse mentre si tiene premuto il tasto Ctrl (o Ctrl+Alt-clic con alcuni sistemi) nuovamente sulla miniatura della maschera di livello.
