The Add Alpha to Selection command creates a selection in the current layer from the Alpha Channel. Opaque pixels are fully selected, transparent pixels are unselected, and translucent pixels are partially selected. This selection is added to the existing selection. The alpha channel itself is not changed.

Kitos šioje operacijų grupėje esančios komandos yra panašios, išskyrus tai, kad užuot pridėjusios prie esamo pažymėjimo su iš aktyvaus sluoksnio sukurtu pažymėjimu, jos visiškai pakeičia pažymėjimą pažymėjimu sukurti iš alfa pažymėjimo, atima alfa pažymėjimą iš esamo pažymėjimo, arba sukuria pažymėjimą, kuris yra šių dviejų sankirta.
