2.7. Seleção Por Cor

The Select by Color tool is designed to select areas of an image based on color similarity. It works a lot like the Fuzzy Select tool. The main difference between them is that the Fuzzy Select tool selects contiguous regions, with all parts connected to the starting point by paths containing no large gaps; while the Select by Color tool selects all pixels that are sufficiently similar in color to the pixel you click on, regardless of where they are located.

2.7.1. Ativando a Ferramenta

There are different possibilities to activate the tool:

From the main menu: Tools → Selection Tools → By Color Select.
By clicking the tool icon in the Toolbox.
By pressing the Shift+O keyboard shortcut.

2.7.2. Teclas modificadoras (Padrões)

A escolha da ferramenta de selecionar por cor não tem nenhum modificador de teclas especiais, apenas os que afetam todas as ferramentas de seleção da mesma forma. Veja Ferramentas de seleção para obter ajuda.

2.7.3. Manipulando a ferramenta

Tal como acontece com a ferramenta de Seleção Contígua, a seleção começa assim que você clicar e a referência é o primeiro pixel clicado. Se você clicar e arrastar, você pode alterar o limite da mesma forma.

You can move the selection outline with the arrow keys, not with the mouse.

2.7.4. Opções

Normally, tool options are displayed in a window attached under the Toolbox as soon as you activate a tool. If they are not, you can access them from the main menu through Windows → Dockable Windows → Tool Options which opens the option window of the selected tool.
